What cannot be missed however, are the fun engagement party activities.

One of the best way to get the guests comfortable and acquainted with one another is to play some ice breakers and games.

Even though playing games might seem childish on such an important day, trust us, it only adds to the joy of the day.

1. How well do you know the couple?

Create a list of 10-15 questions related to the couple and their relationship.

Get the answers from them before hand.

The emcee must then read the questions out aloud and the guests must write the correct answer on a sheet provided to the.

The answers are revealed t the end and the guest with the maximum correct answers gets an engagement favour.

2. Two truths one lie:

The guests will get a chance to share three statements about themselves, two truths and one lie. Everyone else needs to vote which one is truth and which ones are false, with a show of hands.

This is a great conversation starter for guests who do not know each other.

3. Photo booth:

Set up a photo booth in the corner of the hall and you can keep all kinds of fun props such as hats, sunglasses, wigs, funny signs and big paper lips.

The guests can pose with these props and take fun Polaroid photos of them.

4. Whose memory is this?

Have each guest to write a memory they have of the bride and groom and place the chit in a bowl.

The couple will then eat them one by one and try to guess which guest wrote which memory.

5. Wedding wishes:

In this activity, the guests get an opportunity to share with the couple a few words of wisdom about love and marriage.

The advice can be written in a sheet of coloured paper, which will also make a beautiful keepsake for the couple.

6. Engagement party favours:

A party favours are small gifts that you can give to all the guests who attend the engagement.

It does not have to be expensive. For example, you can give a individual-sized bag with the couples favourite candies.
