My closet for the wedding comprised of my two favourite designers Ohaila Khan & Elie Saab. I do believe I wore the best couture from both worlds. I didn’t want any of my looks to be mainstream or a repeat of any other bride . It was imperative for my wedding looks to be a depiction of the highest quality of craftsmanship and also a reflection of my personality and taste. To me the outfits were the most important part of the wedding like most brides . I did not choose Ohaila just because she is my sister but because of the level of craftsmanship I see in her work. I’m a connoisseur of quality and workmanship and when I made my rounds at designer stores around the city I quickly came to the realisation of how I need my looks to be unseen works of art that only a bespoke couture experience can provide hence I picked all my Indian looks from Ohaila and the international one from Elie Saab
I didn’t end up wearing a very traditional look for any of my events except maybe my Haldi. On the Haldi I wore a yellow bandhni Sharara with doses of Banarasi embroidered with old world traditional marori embroidery.
